SIB srl is an industrial set-up that has been producing, by its own technologies and know-how, combustion systems, furnaces and treatment systems for over 40 years. This led to a wide and proven experience both in design process and construction phase, as well as for installation and maintenance of their systems.
Our many applications in the field of surface treatments and melting of aluminium and non-ferrous materials, have favoured over time the development and improvement of our technical department for the design and construction of complete plants for the recycling of aluminium contaminated by water and organics (oils, paint, etc).
The “lung” of this system is the CDS (Chips Dryer System), which combined with a special melting furnace allows a high efficiency in aluminium recycling.
The CDS system consists of a set of equipment that allows the cogeneration of the energy needed for the heat treatment of aluminium.
The technical criterion of the system involves drying of materials by convective and radiant heat exchange between the material to be treated and the gases coming from the After Burner / Energy Recovery System: in an Energy Chamber, the values of oxygen and temperature of the gases are constantly controlled in their counter-current motion to the material to be treated. It is also possible to use the exhaust gases of the Melting Furnace for a thermal energy input that significantly reduces energy costs.
In general, every SIB system is sized according to the specific needs of the customer and therefore it is not standardised but its configuration, more or less complex, is the result of a process designed to meet the needs of the customer and optimize the technical and economic performance. All this is done by respecting the characteristics of the treated materials in compliance with the current regulations in force within the European Community and according to U.S.A.(UL/FM) standards.
